Another 5k and a new start!

Well just did my second 5K last night! Sorry no pics this time! Steve and the boys were going to come I left early and they were going to meet us at the finish line but on our way there was a ton of traffic because unknowingly to me there was a parade before the run! So thousands of people and chaos - not a good recipe for a 2 year old and 6 year old . So I called Steve and told him to stay home - will have to pick a more low key less publicized race. There was tons of runners! Over 5000! It was a little too much usually when you start running things start to spread out and there's not herds of runners - not this one I was running in a herd the whole time! We still had fun and it was a fun run- all the people that came to watch the parade were cheering on the streets of course it was hot and humid I can not wait to race in the fall! I was feeling sluggish the whole race so not expecting to better my time but I did! Guess training is paying off! So my first time was 31:35 My second time was 30:57 - baby steps I guess! I'm happy with my time though! At the end of the race we lost Carol's friend Jenny it took us over an hour to find her!

Oh and hey Kelly turned me on to a great website called Dailyburn.com it keeps track of your calories, fat , protein and carbs and gives you a realistic time to get to your goal weight - I'm tired of feeling blah and just want to feel good in my clothes again so its time to get serious stop talking about it and do it! If anybody wants to do it add me as a motivator and we can keep track of each other my username is Babyhex. I need all the help I can get being accountable.

Can I go to bed yet?

Some days I just want to go running back to bed and put the covers over my head.
Today I was a flying golf ball at my head subject (Derek) My ipod submerged in water (Drew) a clean kids room destroyed in a matter of minutes over looking over a lost DS game (Derek and his buddy Tucker) . Then after I made them clean it up I discovered everything pushed under the bed. Having to clean the fish tank that I hate and never wanted and that I was promised I would never have to clean because I couldn't stand looking at it anymore- anyone know if those algae fish kill goldfish? Okay Okay so today was not our best day for sure taking a deep breath and putting on my helmet for the rest of the day (flying golf balls / toys/ whatever) and thinking a glass of wine may solve my evening chaos.......

Craziness- Crazy kids Crazy husband!

So yesterday when I got home from my trip I was greeted with this posted on my fridge
NICE RIGHT? I'll get right on this honey since I am getting home at 11 oclock at night and just worked at 12 hour day. No hey thanks for taking the time to put dinner in the crockpot I did the dishes honey= CRAZY HUSBAND
This was written in 1955 and it should stay there!!!!

The good wife's guide

* Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have be thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.

Hmmm like all the times I have dinner ready and he has came home to tell me his already eaten????

* Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.

I'm pretty sure this one would go unnoticed

* Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.

yeah this whole thing is gay

* Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dustcloth over the tables.

it never goes away 2 children to put it all back as soon as it gets put away

* During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

hmmmm sorry honey we don't have a fireplace- NEXT

* Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.

Children QUIET? HMMMM NEXT

* Be happy to see him.
* Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.
* Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.
* Don't greet him with complaints and problems.
* Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.

Yeah I will do a little more than complain if he decides to stay out all night

* Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.
NEXT!!!

* Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.
* Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.
* A good wife always knows her place.

YES MASTER WHATEVER YOU SAY!!!!!

Okay so that's the crazy husband. Here's the crazy kid Drew woke up sometime in the middle of the night- found Derek's bubble tape bubble gum and put a huge wad in his mouth then climb into bed with us and fell asleep. At about 4 am I here him whining to find sticky pink stuff all over him. It took me a while to figure out what it was. Then thank God for google- the only thing I could remember was icecubes which was not going to work on a 2 years olds face. The other options were baby oil and peanut butter- I chose baby oil and thank goodness it worked- it's still in his hair though- hopefully I can get it out today otherwise we may have to shave his head again. GOOOD TIMES!!!!!
